What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is the use of very fine, solid filament needles that are placed into specific muscle points, triggering an injury signal to the brain. The body then produces a positive response to repair the ‘injured’ site, increasing blood flow, oxygenation and muscle relaxation.
Increased blood flow can assist in flushing toxins and waste products from the targeted tissues and promote the healing process. Endorphins and chemicals are also released by the body during dry needling, assisting in the treatment of chronic conditions.
